Trail Closures

Hey everyone! Due to recent heavy rainfall we have been forced to close a number of trails for maintenence and safety concerns.

Upper mountain trails from the top of Boer Mountain are closed entirely until further notice. Many haven't been cleared of downed trees yet, but all are very soft and muddy and need to firm up before opening those trails.

We have left the lower trails around Kager Lake and the Bike Park open, but encourage you to choose a different route if you are experiencing extremely soft sections of a trail, deep ruts will require drainage work and maintenence that will take volunteers away from tree clearing on upper mountain trails.

It is a very rare occasion that we have had to close trails, but please be respectful of the closures and not ride on trails that are labelled closed.

The weather forecast is looking favorable, but there will need to be a lot of drying happening before those upper trails will be open.

We realise May Long Weekend is a popular time for regional visitors to come ride the trails, so for those of you considering coming to ride, at this time, do not expect to shuttle the downhill trails. But the cross country trails around Kager Lake and in the bike park should be getting dryer each day this week.

We update our trail reports in relatively real time through the Trailforks website and app, so trail updates will be coming as quickly as we can assess the trails. That information automatically populates this website as well as the trailforks app. So what you see is as up to date as we can make it, so keep checking and as trails are able to be opened we will be posting that information.
